SomethingAdded: The Future of Industrialized Additive Footwear
Founded on an exclusive technological alliance with HP, SomethingAdded revolutionizes performance footwear through an industrialized additive manufacturing ecosystem. By leveraging Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology and a unique PEBA-based (TPA) material from Evonik, the company delivers midsoles with an optimized mass-to-stiffness ratio, ensuring exceptional energy return and bio-mechanical precision.
Our end-to-end platform integrates advanced digital design with strategic product development, enabling brands to transition from complex prototyping to industrial-scale production. This is embodied by our "Research Vehicle"—a revolutionary four-part running shoe demonstrating a local, on-demand manufacturing model combining 3D printing with circular knitting.
Operationally, SomethingAdded scales innovation through two strategic hubs: a 1,000 sqm industrial demonstrator in Barcelona, featuring a fleet of 18 HP MJF units, and a dedicated R&D Lab in San Diego. By utilizing AI-driven analytics for real-time visibility and predictive maintenance, these facilities bridge the gap between digital design and the physical floor. This intelligent, data-driven model empowers global brands to achieve unparalleled mass personalization and accelerated speed-to-market, turning local on-demand production into a commercial reality.
